Sunday May 2nd 2010 - Giorni Alfa Centenario Di York
The historic streetscape of York City Centre is due to be transformed!
To commemorate Alfa Romeo’s Centenary, the heart of the City will be the imposing backdrop for an
incredible display of 100 examples of automobiles from Italy’s finest manufacturer with every one of Alfa Romeo’s model range being represented chronologically; from the earliest pre-war examples
right up to the very latest cars to bear the legendary Cross and Serpent logo.
In collaboration with City of York Council, AROC’s Giorni Alfa Centenario will have all the ambience of an Italian street fare as our celebratory day will have an authentic Italian Food Market in attendance stocked with all kinds of the choice culinary produce that the country is so famous for to add even more to the special atmosphere generated by the occasion.
Come and join in with something quite special to celebrate Alfa Romeo’s anniversary year courtesy of the AROC and City of York Council; 100 cars representing 100 years of Latin motoring flair and expertise together with Italy’s finest foods and wines!
Giorni Alfa Centenario di York. Spettacolare e magnifico!
21 – 22 August - National Alfa Weekend –
Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb, Worcestershire, WR6 6RP
Our National event will this year become a weekend of Alfa Romeo celebration at the oldest motor sport venue in continuous use in the world. First used in 1905, it is older than Indianapolis, Le Mans or Monza. Brooklands has been and gone, but Shelsley Walsh is still here, as old as the sport but as modern as today. More than 1500 Alfa Romeo cars are expected to attend the biggest Hillclimb event of 2010, and since 1905 the oldest too! A round of the MSA British Hillclimb Championship, the MSA Hillclimb Leaders Championship, and the Midland Hillclimb Championship. The fastest cars in British Hillclimbing will vie for the best time of the day in two exciting Top Twelve Run-offs.
The event will see National gatherings of Club Model Registers, the Annual AROC Concours d’Elegance and Trade Stands.
The Club looks forward to welcoming all AROC members and friends to our National Events
throughout the Centenary Year.
