FIAT drawing number: 46740192
Hardware number: 0261204731
Hardware version: 00

Homologation number: 932_16
ECU programming date: 01/07/1999
READING ERROR CODES:
1: P1173 - FRA autoadapt. parameter (additive)
ERROR DETAILS:
Fault status: Signal too high
Engine speed: 1280 rpm
Engine temperature: 28,7 °C
The ECU has run out of range in adapting the mixture in reference to the O2 Sensor signal (multiplicative adaptation) and/or in reference to the engine running conditions (additive adaptation).
Possible causes:
- Engine Temperature sensor/circuit defective, but the signal still in realistic range.
- Fuel Pressure incorrect
- Fuel Injector(s) leaking
- Fuel Injectors clogged
- Incomplete combustion (ignition or compression problem, excess O2 in the exhaust)
- Vacuum leak (lean mixture)
- Oxygen Sensor defective or contaminated with silica (Voltage change extremely slow)
- Exhaust system leak upstream of the O2 Sensor (stray air brings extra O2 making the mixture to appear lean)
- Fuel Evaporation Control system defective
- vehicle driven out of fuel (tank empty)
The reason for this fault is that ECU has received very high signal from the sensor. The fault is present now. Take appropriate action to fix this sensor fault. Dashboard warning light was not activated for this fault.
2: P0170 - Lambda sensor integrator
ERROR DETAILS:
Fault status: Signal too high
Engine speed: 1880 rpm
Engine load: 2,650 ms
The ECU cannot adjust the carburation correctly on the basis of the lambda probe information.
Check the lambda probe warm up system, the consistency of the emitted signal by means of an exhaust gas analyser and an oscilloscope, possible air leaks in inlet or exhaust circuits, and the correct functioning of the fuel system (pump pressure and flow, adjuster, leakage''s from injectors).
Check also the presence of other anomalies which could influence the mixture strength (wrong temperature information, etc...)
The reason for this fault is that ECU has received very high signal from the sensor. The fault is not detected now, but it is stored in memory. Clear fault codes, and observe for future appearance of the same fault. Dashboard warning light was not activated for this fault.
3: P0130 - Lambda sensor
ERROR DETAILS:
Fault status: S.C. to ground
Engine speed: 2160 rpm
Engine load: 4,050 ms
Lambda probe signal anomaly - signal absent or inconsistent with the operating conditions. Check the following:
- Presence of the (battery) supply voltage on the probe connector connected with the two white wires, engine running
- The continuity and insulation between the pins 10 and 28 of the ECU and the remaining Lambda probe connector two wires
- By means of the oscilloscope and the exhaust gas analyser check for the consistency between the gas values and the signal wave form, the engine being on and at temperature
NOTE: The signal wire is black and the signal emitted by the probe depends on the oxygen residue in the exhaust pipe.
The reason for this fault is that ECU has received very low signal from the sensor. The fault is not detected now, but it is stored in memory. Clear fault codes, and observe for future appearance of the same fault. Dashboard warning light was not activated for this fault.
