Delay potentiometer accelerator response ....?

Hello guys, I have a problem with the throttle of my child ..... at least the tachometer marks about 750 rpm, if I press lightly on the accelerator nothing happens until a certain point, then squirts directly to about 1000 rpm! !!
And 'normal or it could be the potentiometer to clean?
